🗓️ Important Deadlines & Flight Details

  • Flight Payments: Due immediately.
  • Airline Ticket Purchase Date: On or about Thursday, October 15, 2026 (prices subject to change until secured).
  • Final Land Payment Due: Wednesday, December 30, 2026.
  • Logistics: The primary airline is United Airlines, departing from and returning to Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) (other options available).

🔒 Insurance, Passports, & Safety

  • Travel Insurance: REQUIRED for all travelers to cover medical emergencies, cancellations, and lost luggage. Must be purchased within ten (10) days of your deposit via IMG Travel Insurance.
  • Cancellation Policy: All deposits and payments made to Fantom Travel Group are non-refundable and non-transferable. Cancellation claims must be filed directly through your travel insurance provider.
  • Passport Validity: Must be valid for at least six months past travel dates. It cannot expire before August 14, 2027. A copy must be submitted with your GTKY form.
  • Visa: Information is forthcoming.
  • STEP Program: Registration in the US Department of State’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program is mandatory to help the local embassy contact you in an emergency.

At Cape Coast Castle, guests will encounter an important and deeply moving chapter of African and African American history.

The journey continues into Ghana’s natural beauty with an exciting visit to Kakum National Park, the peaceful surroundings of Akosombo, the wildlife and landscapes of Safari Eco Park, and the refreshing beauty of Asenema Waterfalls. Guests will also visit the Cedi Beads Factory to learn how Ghana’s distinctive handcrafted beads are created.

One of the most memorable moments of the trip will be a traditional Naming Ceremony, offering participants a personal and meaningful connection to Ghanaian culture, heritage, and community.
